Novinway named a finalist for Georgetown’s Leonsis Family Entrepreneurship Prize

· Recognition

— Novinway has been selected as one of eight finalists, from more than 90 applications, for the Leonsis Family Entrepreneurship Prize at Georgetown University, and will pitch at the university’s annual “Bark Tank” competition this fall.

The prize, supported by Ted Leonsis and his family, honors Georgetown students who have launched or are preparing to launch ventures that address problems in the world around them. Finalists prepare their pitches over three weeks with mentorship from Georgetown’s Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, then present to a panel of judges.

Novinway provides flexible in-home and community childcare and practical family support for families raising neurodivergent children and teens in Washington, DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia. Earlier this year the company won first place and the Mark Silverman Award at Georgetown’s Entrepreneurship in Health Challenge, and it began serving families in September.

“Being a finalist means a lot to our team,” said Jeff Moeller, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer. “We’re looking forward to sharing what we’ve learned from our first families and where we go from here.”
